A tidy media library is the difference between a station that runs itself and one that fights you. Here is how to manage yours in Recupy.
Uploading music
- Open your station in the control panel and go to the Media section.
- Use Upload to add your audio files - MP3, AAC, FLAC and similar formats are supported, and you can drag and drop in bulk.
- Uploaded files appear in your library immediately.
Folders keep you sane
Create folders by genre or purpose - Pop, Jingles, Ads, Weekend Specials - so building playlists later takes seconds instead of minutes. A song can belong to more than one playlist, so folders are purely for your own organisation.
Metadata: what listeners see
Each track carries title, artist and album fields, and these appear to listeners as the now playing information. Fix them once at upload time and every player, app and integration shows the right names forever.
Even loudness with normalization
Tracks recorded at different loudness levels make listeners reach for the volume knob. Use the sound level (normalization) settings to even them out, and fine-tune cue points and fades per track to control exactly where songs start, end and blend into each other.
Troubleshooting
- Upload fails: check the file format, its size and your remaining storage quota.
- Wrong now playing text: correct the track title and artist metadata.
- Sudden loud or quiet songs: apply normalization.
