AutoDJ keeps you on air around the clock - but live shows are where radio comes alive. Recupy supports two ways to go live, both built on DJ accounts.
Creating DJ accounts
- In the panel menu, open Streamer / DJ Accounts.
- Add a new account with a username and password for each host.
- Optionally, restrict the account to broadcast only within scheduled hours - useful for stations with many hosts.
Option 1: WebDJ, straight from the browser
The host signs in to the WebDJ page with their DJ account, picks a microphone and/or music source, and starts broadcasting - no installation at all. When they disconnect, the stream returns to AutoDJ automatically.
Option 2: professional encoders
Hosts who prefer desktop broadcast software can connect with the details shown in your control panel:
- Server address (host) and port
- Mount / stream path
- Username and password of the DJ account
- Format and bitrate - must match your mount settings
The live handover
Live always wins: the moment a DJ connects, the stream switches to them; the moment they leave, AutoDJ resumes where it makes sense. Listeners never hear dead air in between.
Troubleshooting
- DJ cannot connect: verify server, port, mount and password; check the account is enabled and allowed at that hour.
- No audio: is the right mount and format selected in the encoder?
- Dropouts: test the broadcaster's upload speed and consider lowering the bitrate.
